IL harvest ahead of last year

Good weather has allowed more than three quarters of Illinois' corn crop to be harvested. The State Department of Agriculture says this puts farmers ahead of last year's pace. Dry weather over the past few weeks has helped. Farmers say they're pleasantly surprised by the harvest itself, considering the hot, dry weather this summer in Illinois.
