Robbery at Rock Island gas station

Just after two Monday afternoon police said a black man robbed the Shell gas station along Eleventh Street in Rock Island and took off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

On Monday, police weren't releasing many details about what happened.

 But, for about an hour Rock Island P.D. questioned the gas station's attendant while a K-9 unit searched the alley and twelfth street.

Employees didn't want to go on camera, but they tell me no one was hurt.

The robbery is still under investigation, if you have any information you're asked to call police.
