New Director of Public Safety at WIU

Rock Island Police Chief Scott Harris will be taking over as the director of the Office of Public Safety at Western Illinois University. Harris will begin his new job November 5th.

Chief Harris has been a police officer in Rock Island since 1982. He became Chief in May of 2010.

Harris holds master's and bachelor's degrees from Western, in addition to being a graduate of the FBI National Academy.
