An alarm at a Clinton school led to a chase and a police officer under attack early Monday morning. Around 1:00 A.M. police responded to the alarm at Lincoln Alternative School and found windows broken out.
Officers found a suspect nearby and gave chase. One officer was struck in the chest with a crowbar but the suspect was quickly caught.
Arrested was Alexander Ruiz. He's charged with Assault on a Police Officer, Burglary, and outstanding warrants out of Scott and Johnson Counties.
