Consultant’s inaugural live meeting receives rave reviews from clinicians across the country.
Millstone, NJ (PRWEB) October 05, 2012
The first annual Primary Care Cardiometabolic Risk Summit, presented by the leading primary care publication, Consultant, successfully launched at Bally’s Hotel in Las Vegas, NV, September 9-11, 2013. The conference provided continuing education for more than 500 primary care practitioners who are dedicated to eradicating cardiometabolic syndrome. Based on the enthusiastic reception from attendees, exhibitors and faculty, Consultant is pleased to announce that the Cardiometabolic Risk Summit will return to Las Vegas, October 20–23, 2013, at The Mirage Hotel.
This year’s Cardiometabolic Risk Summit featured a series of evidence-based lectures, case-based discussions, interactive workshop sessions, industry-supported symposia and much more. Cardiovascular disease — already a nationwide epidemic — is exacerbated by cardiometabolic syndrome.
“The Cardiometabolic Risk Summit focused not only on the risk factors of cardiometabolic syndrome —diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obesity — but we also focused on many of the issues surrounding cardiometabolic risk, including exercise, patient empowerment, nutrition, statin side effects, beta-cell survival and chronic renal disease,” reported Edward Shahady, MD, the Course Director for the Cardiometaboilc Risk Summit. Dr. Shahady urged clinicians to “attend next year’s conference and become a leader in recognizing and treating cardiometabolic risks in your practice.”
The inaugural Cardiometabolic Risk Summit provided an impressive conference program of four separate educational tracks and important networking opportunities among peers, faculty, and industry representatives. Attendees from across the country eagerly endorsed the event and urged their colleagues to attend in 2013.
"This was by far the best conference I have been to in 12 years. The speakers were excellent. I could tell that they are very passionate about their work. The information I received is practical and I am able to use it today. … I already plan to see you again next year,” expressed Laura Sova, a conference attendee from Medford, WI.
The Cardiometabolic Risk Summit also provided prime opportunities for industry representatives to reach an array of primary care practitioners via the highly visited Exhibit Hall.
“The meeting was top notch and our ability to converse with doctors, nurse practitioners and physician assistants was terrific! They came by the booth and discussed products with us at great length. We will definitely be back next year. It was worth every penny,” said Barney Kijek, the Vice President of Sales for Akrimax Pharmaceuticals.
