Why do some people get cancer, and others don't? That's what a new study aims to find out. Today, Quad Citians' signed up at Genesis in Davenport to participate in a 30 year American Cancer Society Study. The first study of its kind was done in the fifties, and linked lung cancer to smoking. Then 20 years later, it linked obesity to cancer. The American Cancer Society says taking part in the study is easy and will help future generations fight the deadly disease.

"If people are interested in being able to tell their grandchildren that they contributed to finding the cure for cancer, this is the study for them," said Christy Thurman from the Quad Cities' American Cancer Society.

Next week is the last chance to sign up for the study. For more information go to www.cps3quadcities.org.
