QC dogs were celebrated in Rock Island today.
It was the Parks and Recs third annual ‘Bark in the Park' at Schwiebert Riverfront Park.
Dogs competed in a number of different games; a dog disk catching competition, talent show, and a costume contest.
The rock island police department brought in the k9 unit to do a demonstration.
"I thought well why don't we have something for the dogs this is a big dog community. People love brining their dogs to the park, so it's a beautiful day and beautiful park and we just wanted to everyone down to have some fun," said Debbi Weston, of the Rock Island Parks and Rec.
Folks at the event said they think of their dogs as their children, so they appreciate a day dedicated to their doggies.
