A local couple has gathered support from all over the community to join in on their cause.
"The money coming in goes to the orphans and the work we do goes and helps the widow," said Chad Reickard, of Both Hands.
It's all happening through an organization called Both Hands. Members raise money by having friends and family sponsor them, sort of like a 5K. But instead of running, the group provides home repairs for widows.
All the money raised will help the Reickards adopt their 3rd and 4th kids from Haiti.
"We're here to serve other people and to show his grace and that's just what we're doing and it can go all the way to Haiti, or the other side of the world," said Kristin Reickard, of Both Hands.
The couple is hoping to be able to meet their kids within the next 6 months, and have them back here in the Quad Cities by next year.
