A judge has found the Durant School Board in contempt of court for their treatment of Durant High School principal Monica Rouse. Each member of the board was fined and sentenced to 30 days in jail unless they fully reinstate Rouse to her duties as principal.
Rouse was fired in 2010, accused of falsifying student records. She was later cleared and the board was ordered to re-hire her.
When she returned to her job as principal Rouse was not given the same duties she had as principal, and limited access to students.
