Three men are under arrest after a drug deal turned into a ripoff in Davenport Monday night. Police say Kevin Green was trying to buy marijuana from two men in an alley in the 2000 block of West 4th Street.
The men took Green's money but then didn't give him the drugs. Police say Green took out a 9mm handgun and began chasing the men through the alley, shooting at them.
Green then ran to a car occupied by David Schmidt and drove to his house, where he hid the gun. Officers say the two then drove back to a home on West 5th in search of the two men who took their money.
Entering the home Green and Schmidt attacked the two other men. A search warrant later turned up the 9mm pistol.
Kevin Green is charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Burglary, and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony. David Schmidt and Zachery Labarre are both charged with Conspiracy to Commit a Felony. Charges are still pending against the fourth man.
