The numbers are in for Rita Crundwell's estate auction. The two-day auction netted $4.7 million.
The horses sold for nearly $1.5 million, including "Good I Will Be," who sold for $775,000. Her cars and horse trailers sold for about $500,000. Bidders could also bring home other horse equipment used at the Rita Crundwell ranch.
U.S. Marshals have spent $1.3 million caring for the horses at the ranch for the past five months.
After the auction, U.S. Marshals will sell the former Dixon comptroller's furniture, real estate and other personal property.
Crundwell is accused of stealing $53 million from the city over two decades. If Crundwell is not convicted, she will receive all profits from the auction.
