CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (AP) _ First lady Michelle Obama will return to Iowa to speak with supporters at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. President Barack Obama's campaign says Michelle Obama will focus her Friday speech on promoting voter registration and will tie her message to the second day of early voting in Iowa. Michelle Obama last appeared at an Iowa event on Sept. 7 in Iowa City. Both the Democrat Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney are competing hard for Iowa's six Electoral College votes. Iowa is among about six battleground states that likely will decide who wins the general election.
The event is free and open to the public, but you do need a ticket. You can get yours on Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. and on Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
