Musicians with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra say they want more money and better healthcare before they pick up their instruments again.
The musicians went on strike Saturday holding picket signs outside the symphony center.
The musicians' contract expired last Sunday.
Since this summer, the musicians and CSO management have been negotiating for a new three year contract, but musicians rejected their final offer yesterday.
