DCFS budget cuts

More than 200 children who were investigated by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services in the past 11 years were killed.

Records were taken from police, prison and the medical examiner.

In many cases, calls had been made to the agency's abuse hotline.

The director of DCFS says the state is making big budget cuts and case workers are overwhelmed.
