UPDATE:
Davenport Police said 23-year old Martin Eason of Davenport was hit and killed by a car driven by 46- year old Dale Varner also from Davenport on Waverly Road around 4 Saturday morning.
Officers said Eason was crossing the street when he was struck by the car. Authorities don't believe alcohol is to blame. The accident is still under investigation.
