Civil War heroes came to life today at Oakdale Cemetery in Davenport. It was Forget–Me–Not Victorian Day to commemorate 150 years since the war that split our country. Volunteers dressed up as family members of influential "Oakdale residents", and told their story, how they impacted the outcome of the war. Guests were taken on guided tours through the cemetery, coming across the impersonators as they went along. All proceeds from the event went right back to the cemetery for grounds work.
