UPDATE 2:18 P.M. - According to MidAmerican's outage map, power has been restored for most in the Quad Cities.
UPDATE 2:06 P.M. - Power outages continue in Rock Island and Moline. This time, it's more than 13,500 affected. We will keep you updated throughout the day.
ORIGINAL STORY:
More than 12,000 homes were without power at around 10 a.m. Saturday in Rock Island and Moline.
Several streets lights in the area went out as a result.
Tim Grabinski of MidAmerican Energy says it was an issue with a primary line that caused the substation to go out.
