They may be lost, but today the Rock Island Arsenal showed that prisoners of war and those missing, are not forgotten.
Arsenal leaders presented a wreath on the POW memorial while honoring Lyle Sheldon, a World War II vet and POW.
New commander of the Army Sustainment Command, Brigadier General John Wharton, says it's days like today that remind you no one is ever left behind.
"We will not rest until we finally recover all our America's sons and daughters from foreign wars and battlegrounds," says Brigadier General John Wharton of the Army Sustainment Command.
The ceremony ended by releasing balloons into the sky, representing those not forgotten.
