Ashley Richmond joined the CBS4 team in January 2014 as a Multimedia Journalist. She came to CBS4 from WFRV-TV in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where she worked as an Editor and Photographer. Ashley attended the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and graduated with a B.A. in Communication with emphases in Electronic Media and Public Relations.
As a child, Ashley loved being around people and had no problems chatting up a storm with anyone who'd listen. She wrote her own storybooks and put on regular ‘plays' for her parents, with her sisters as co-stars!
As she grew older, Ashley took an interest in English and creative writing. She's a fan of good grammar and competed in many spelling bees throughout elementary and middle school.
While at UW-Green Bay, Ashley worked at a local newspaper, radio station, and TV station. She fell in love with local news on her very first day in TV and knew it was the career for her! She can't wait to explore the Quad Cities and learn all about her new home.
Ashley is naturally curious and enjoys being in the field. Her favorite stories to cover involve learning something new or walking a mile in someone else's shoes.
Hailing from Wisconsin, Ashley is an avid Green Bay Packers fan (naturally)! She also enjoys traveling, kayaking, trying new recipes, and the occasional run or hike.
Favorite Food: Anything Italian!
Favorite TV Shows: Parks and Recreation and Dexter
