It's time to clean out your medicine cabinet. But instead of flushing medications down the drain or tossing them in the trash, there's a safer alternative. Operation Medicine Cabinet will not only take and safely dispose your old medications, you can exchange mercury thermometers for digital ones, drop off CFL bulbs and mercury thermostats, pick up and drop off medical sharps containers, have data-sensitive documents shredded, and drop off new and gently used home health equipment and supplies.
Operation Medicine Cabinet will be in Eldridge, Bettendorf, and Davenport from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the following locations:
Thursday, Sept. 20 at Medic EMS Facility, LeClaire Road and Highway 61, Eldridge.
Friday, Sept. 21 at Surrey Heights Fire Station, 5002 Crow Creek, Bettendorf.
Saturday, Sept. 22 at Scott Area Recycling Center, 5640 Carey Avenue, Davenport.
Operation Medicine Cabinet is free and open to both Iowa and Illinois residents.
