Javon Daniels, 19, was sentenced Friday to 40 months in prison for crack cocaine possession with intent to distribute.
Daniels also has to serve four years supervised release after he gets out of prison.
Back in January, Daniels was arrested on his way to Iowa City, IA from Chicago. Police arrested him in Davenport after a bus driver reported smelling marijuana in the bus' luggage compartment. After a check of the luggage by a police K-9, police found marijuana, cocaine and crack cocaine in Daniel's bag. Further investigation revealed Daniels was transporting the drugs from Chicago on behalf of drug traffickers.
