Taxes could be going up in Moline neighborhood

Taxes could be going up for some folks in Moline.

Tuesday night at the council meeting, city leaders voted to move forward with a plan to raise taxes by hundreds of dollars for folks in the Olde Town Neighborhood.

City leaders say the neighborhood is historic and the extra cash would be used to breathe new life into it.

The issue will be considered again at next week's meeting.

And a public hearing will be held in the upcoming weeks.
