An emotional send off for one Moline family this Tuesday morning.
Corporal Jacob Johnson said farewell to family and friends as the marine got on a plane at the Q.C. airport to serve his second deployment in Afghanistan.
Members of the Patriot Guard Riders held American flags as he entered the terminal.
Johnson said 9/11 is the reason he continues to fight for our country.
"I just hope that everybody remembers the day, and remembers those that we lost that day, and then remembers all the patriots that we've had go oversees and not make it back, and all that have gone over and have made it back," said Cpl. Jacob Johnson, local marine.
Corporal Johnson signed up for the marines 4 years ago to the day.
