Elementary students are rolling up their sleeves for flu shots. Monday, marked the start of flu–free Quad Cities. Five kids at Madison elementary school got their flu vaccinations to kick it off.
"The more people involved, the decrease the chance of the Quad City Area developing an outbreak with influenza." Michelle Cullen from Genesis Health System said.
Last year genesis vaccinated around 9 thousand kids, their goal this year is 10 thousand.
