Flames rip through a Kewanee Church

Fire crews in Kewanee are investigating a fire at the Zion Lutheran Church from overnight.

The fire broke out around 10 Sunday night. We're told there was smoke coming out of an area where offices and classrooms are located.

Kewanee Fire Chief Bob Swedman said they believe the fire started in the attic, but don't know what caused the fire.

No word on the extent of the damage, but it does look to be a loss between fire, water and smoke damage.
