"For Sale by Owner" Events in Bettendorf

Members of the Bettendorf community came together to raise money for local parks.

 

Today the Friends of Bettendorf Parks Foundation hosted a for sale by owner event.

 

Folks looking to buy or sell came out to the event which displayed cars, boats, motorcycles, and R.V.'s.

 

The event happens twice a year and this year organizers say technology is playing a key role in sales.

 

"A lot of people take pictures with their iphones. they take a picture of the vehicle and then the information that's on the windshield, then they go back home and process what they want to do," said Denny Glancy, the Vice President of Bettendorf Parks.

 

All the proceeds go to educational and recreation programs sponsored by the foundation.
