Whether you like Red Delicious or Granny Smith, you could be paying more for apples this fall.
That's because there may be slim pickings this year.
But it's not because of the drought.
The unusually warm March caused apple trees to bloom early, then in April, a freeze all but destroyed them, making for fewer apples and higher prices.
