Rock Island names Citizen of the Year

Rock Island has named Jumer's Casino & Hotel as the 2012 Citizen of the Year.  Representatives from Jumer's will be the grand marshals in this year's Labor Day Parade.

Jumer's first opened on the Rock Island riverfront in March of 1992.  It moved to it's current location in 2008.

Mayor Dennis Pauley said "It's hard to remember Rock Island without Jumer's...and the financial support it provides to the City."
