Police search for hit and run driver

Davenport Police are looking for the driver of a car that hit a motorcyclist and then took off.  The accident happened at the intersection of Locust Street and Lillie Avenue around 8:30 Wednesday night.

The motorcycle rider suffered serious injuries.  Police say the driver of the car that hit him stopped a short distance away but then took off when emergency crews started to arrive on scene.

The car is described as a dark colored 4 door of unknown make and model.  If you have information that can help in the investigation call Davenport Police at 563-326-6125.
