Rock Island Citizens of the Year

The City of Rock Island has announced it's Citizens of the Year for 2012. At the city council meeting on August 27th they will announce the overall Citizen of the Year who will serve as Grand Marshal of the Labor Day Parade.

The winners are:

Professional Category: Dr. Jeff Maurus
Education Category: Glenda Nicke
Organization Category: Rock Island Kiwanis
Individual Category: Bud Helpenstell
City Employee Category: Amy Penry
Youth Category: Drew Brozovich
Honorary Category: Phil Ambrose
