Two area men have been sentenced to lengthy prison terms on Federal charges.
Cordell McDowell was sentenced to five years for firearms possession and his role in a Davenport arson. McDowell and two others kicked in a door at an apartment on Heatherton Drive on November 7th, 2011 and set it on fire. He also pled guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Jorge Saavedra of Wapello was sentenced to ten years for distributing at least 100 kilos of cocaine and other drugs. For three years Saavedra sold cocaine, marijuana, and meth in the Wapello area.
