High school football player dies after practice

A 17 year old Hall High School football player is dead after collapsing during practice Wednesday afternoon. The Spring Valley, Illinois police department says first responders were called to the school around 12:20 after the boy collapsed during a non-contact agility drill.

The teen was taken to St. Margaret's Hospital where he later died. The Bureau County Coroner's Office is investigating the death.
