Are you dieting and always feeling hungry?
Well, there's one thing you can add to your diet that might kill those hunger pains.
Have you ever thought of working in protein supplements in to your diet to lose weight?
Health experts at Fitness Xpress said we should be trying it.
Who wouldn't want to have a speedy metabolism and have your body act like its working out hours after you've left the gym?
Sound too good to be true, think again.
"If you have a protein drink after you work out its going to keep your metabolism running for the next 3 hours as if you're still working out in that same way," said Stephanie Sommers, General Manager, Fitness Xpress.
Ultimately, Sommers said, leading to additional weight loss.
But don't freak out when you read the label and see your protein drink or bar is high in fat and calories.
"Yes you're ultimately getting more calories and you're getting more fat in there but it's the good kind," said Sommers.
That good fat will help hold you over until your next meal.
"A lot of people don't get enough protein and they don't realize that they're not getting enough protein so to have a protein drink or a protein bar as a snack will help keep you fuller longer," said Sommers.
Remember, you'll get the most out of protein supplements if you take it after your workout.
