
Recipe for Pear Blueberry Sauce:

Cook time: 10 minutes
Serves: 6-8
Ingredients
29 oz can pear slices in heavy syrup
3 Tablespoons dark brown sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon orange zest
6 oz. blueberries
1 Tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 3 Tablespoons cold water (to be added as needed)
Instructions:
1. Remove pears from liquid. Be sure to save the liquid. Cut pears into a large dice.
2. Combine pears, pear liquid, brown sugar, cinnamon, orange zest, and blueberries in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil.
3. Pour in half of the cornstarch slurry while mixing constantly. Bring to a boil. If you want the mixture to be thicker, add more slurry. If not, it is ready to serve hot.
