Kate Pabich joined the CBS4 news team in May 2012, just days after graduating from Illinois State University. While there, Kate studied Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. She worked as an anchor, reporter, photographer, and producer for TV-10 News during her four years there. She was named as the Illinois outstanding student videographer by the Illinois News Broadcasters Association, and produced and anchored the third place newscast.
During her breaks from school, Kate held internships at WMBD News in Peoria as well as Fox Chicago. While interning in Chicago she was fortunate enough to be able to cover fundraisers President Obama was holding, along with many other exciting events.
Kate grew up next door to Lake Michigan in Lake Bluff, Illinois, and thoroughly enjoys jumping all the way across Illinois to the banks of the Mississippi. She already loves the history that the Quad Cities offers, as well as the wide range of things to do for fun.
If she's not in the newsroom you can probably find Kate riding her bike along the river or hanging out with friends.
