Although authorities have not yet confirmed it a body found on Saturday could be that of George Lister, an East Moline man who has been missing since mid October.
A person looking for cans near the intersection of Illinois 92 ad I-80 found the body Saturday morning. The body is a white man and Rock Island police say it appeared to have been there for an extended period of time and was decomposing.
An autopsy will be performed next week. The person's identity has not been released but the Rock Island County Sheriff's Department has taken over the investigation because this could be a break in the George Lister Case.
In the meantime, Lister's family is still raising money for a reward for anyone who has information about his disappearance.
