DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) _ Weather records are proving what most Iowans already know _ it was one hard winter in Iowa this year. Weather officials say last Thursday's 4.4 inches of snowfall in Dubuque topped the old season record.
Dubuque recorded 76.2 inches of snow since it began falling in November. Including Thursday, measurable snow fell in Dubuque on 40 days since Nov. 21, including 14 days in February. Dubuque's previous record was set in the winter of 1961-62, when 75.7 inches fell.
