Davenport Man Attacks Abortion Clinic Employee

IOWA CITY, IA - A Davenport man is accused of attacking an Iowa City abortion clinic employee and breaking into the clinic.

Johnson County officials say William Owens-Holst of Davenport tried to break into the "Emma Goldman" abortion clinic on Monday.

An employee of the clinic told police he grabbed her by the neck, shoved her against a car and threw her cell-phone to the ground.

The woman called police; they arrested him and charged him with burglary, assault, and criminal mischief.

Holst reportedly told police he wanted to break the fingers of abortion doctors so they could not kill any babies.
